Collection: Oolong & White
Oolong Tea
Oolong tea is described as being somewhere between black tea and green tea which is much too simplistic. Oolongs can vary greatly from being light and floral to expressing hints of espresso. One thing is for sure, oolong is a very special tea known for its complex and unique tastes. It can take weeks to make by highly trained producers with as many as 20 different stages to achieve the perfect tea.
White Tea
White tea refers to several styles of tea made from young or minimally processed leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. What sets it apart is that it is neither rolled nor oxidised, resulting in a flavour that is typically lighter than most green or black teas. Despite its name, brewed white tea has a pale yellow colour. The name "white tea" comes from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which give the plant a whitish appearance.White teas are among the most labor-intensive to harvest, as only the delicate buds and young leaves are picked by hand. Its reputation as a healthy, delicate tea has contributed to its growing global popularity.
