Origin: Japan
Discover the distinctive world of Japanese matcha — a powdered green tea evolved from centuries of craftsmanship and now celebrated globally for its vibrant flavour, nourishing qualities, and remarkable versatility. It is traditionally shade-grown to ensure a less bitter leaf and to elevate its natural sweetness. After picking, the tea leaves are carefully steamed, dried, and stone-milled into an ultra-fine, vibrant green powder . Our Organic Culinary Matcha delivers an expressive flavour: bright, vegetal notes with a gentle bitterness and a soft, lingering umami flavour.
Once reserved for ceremonial use, matcha has evolved into a modern culinary essential, inspiring baristas, bakers, and chefs around the world. This particular grade shines in mixed drinks such as matcha lattes and smoothies, and performs beautifully in cooking and baking — adding not only colour and depth, but a touch of Japanese tradition to every creation.
Beyond its flavour, matcha is cherished for its natural benefits. Because the whole leaf is consumed, it offers a concentrated source of antioxidants, particularly catechins, which support general wellbeing. Its balanced blend of natural caffeine and L-theanine provides calm, sustained energy and mental clarity — one of the reasons matcha has been valued by monks for centuries.
A bridge between heritage and modern creativity, this organic culinary matcha transforms everyday recipes into something vibrant, nourishing, and deeply special.

How to Use Culinary Matcha
Matcha Latte:
Use 1–2 teaspoons of matcha. Whisk with a small amount of hot water (75–85°C / 170–185°F) until smooth and frothy, then add warm milk or plant milk and sweeten to taste.
Baking & Desserts:
Use 1–2 tablespoons of matcha per recipe. Sift it into the dry ingredients to avoid clumps and adjust the amount depending on how vibrant or intense you want the colour and flavour.
Smoothies:
Add ½–1 teaspoon of matcha directly to the blender along with fruit, yoghurt, or milk. Blend well; it pairs especially well with banana, mango, and vanilla.
Cooking & Savoury Dishes:
Whisk ½–1 teaspoon of matcha into dressings, marinades, salt blends, or soups. Add it at the end of cooking to preserve its bright colour and fresh flavour.
General Tips:
Use water below boiling to prevent bitterness. Store matcha in an airtight container away from light and heat to maintain its colour, aroma, and freshness. Sifting before use always gives the smoothest results.
